The Pasta Circle
As an Italian born and natural wine lover, back in 2018 I teamed with my friends and neighbours at La Rina - a beautifully authentic Italian restaurant in Fort Greene, Brooklyn - to organize a proudly successful monthly event.
An all-day Sunday gathering to learn cooking the real home-made pasta recipes with superstar Chef Silvia Barban, and tasting some of the best natural wines, selected and paired every time from a different region.

First episode was about “Strozzapreti”, a typical pasta shape from Emilia-Romagna that in Italian translates into “choke the priests”.

Second episode, on Halloween time, was “Tortelli di Zucca”, pumpkin-filled square-shaped ravioli from Lombardia.

Every poster was designed to illustrate the shape and story of that Sunday’s pasta.
An original recipe step-by-step explanation and an event poster was gifted to every participant.
