The Pasta Circle

As an Italian born and natural wine lover, back in 2018 I teamed with the friends at La Rina - a beautifully authentic Italian restaurant in Fort Greene, Brooklyn - to organize a proudly successful monthly event.
An all-day Sunday gathering to learn cooking the real home-made pasta recipes with Chef Silvia Barban, and tasting some of the best natural wines, selected and paired every time from a different region.

First episode was about “Strozzapreti”, a typical pasta shape from Emilia-Romagna that in Italian translates into “choke the priests”.

Second episode, on Halloween time, was “Tortelli di Zucca”, pumpkin-filled square-shaped ravioli from Lombardia.

This event was dedicated to learn “Cappelletti”, in Italian literal for “Little Hats”.

Every poster was designed to illustrate the shape and story of that Sunday’s pasta.

An original recipe step-by-step explanation and an event poster was gifted to every participant.
